Root River Valley Friends of the Arts Inc., is a non-profit corporation organized to propagate the public enjoyment of the arts.

BUILDING A FUTURE FOR THE ARTS

Root River Valley Friends of the Arts, Inc. is committed to fostering a rich, artistic and cultural vitality within Lanesboro and the surrounding community through collaborations with individuals and organizations.

We are pleased to have:

2005 - Funded Lanesboro Community Mural designed and executed by artist Erik Pearson with the help of volunteers. The mural is currently located at 210
Parkway Avenue North.

2006 - Donated land for a new home for the Commonweal Theatre Company. The doors of the new professional theatre opened July 7, 2007. Today there are more than 1000 season ticket holders.

2007 - Promoted dance and yoga classes at Coffee Street Dance in downtown Lanesboro. For a current listing of activities visit www.coffeestreetcommons.com
